Dragon's Egg (GB Compo 2023)

A short turn-based RPG following a kobold mother called "Viriik" who's trying to find her stolen eggs.
Made in 3 months for GB Compo 2023. Any feedback is welcome, and thank you for playing! :D
Also, you can fully heal by going back to Viriik's cave and sleeping in the nest.
(Note: The colors may look off on some emulators, idk why (I recommend using Gambette, since it seems to be the most accurate (I can't test on actual hardware, sadly)). Also keep in mind that this game can be kinda buggy at times and is technically incomplete, as two fights at the end of the game couldn't be implemented properly in time for the deadline. You can still reach the credits, however. Also, the "Save first" option in the "Quit Game" menu doesn't actually save, I just never got rid of it. Please use the actual "Save" option in the main menu to save)

Impressed how fully featured an rpg this is for GB Studio! I like the use of hearts for health and the minimalist combat backdrop. Would suggest making it a bit faster if you develop the concept further. I think it's more important to eliminate another click every turn than to make sure the player really meant to attack :)
